BEEKEEPING CLASSES

Gregg will be holding his information-packed beekeeping classes again this year. The cost is $75.00. Each class runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a 1-hour break for lunch. Please bring paper and pen to take notes. Classes are held next-door to our store, and weather permitting, afternoon classes will be also held at several hive locations. Encaustic Painting Demo @ 1st Presbyterian Church
Feb 12 @ 1:45 pm – 3:00 pm
The meeting will be held at The First Presbyterian Church at 350 Main Street, Broomfield, CO and the demo will begin at 1:45pm after a short meeting of the art guild starting at 1pm.
Anyone over the age of 18 is welcome to attend the meeting and demo! Theresa Beck was the featured poster artist of the 2012 Open Studio Tours in Boulder, CO.  http://www.theresambeck.com
She is a beekeeper and uses the wax from her hives to paint in encaustics. Come join the fun!

Boulder County Beekeepers Beginning Beekeeping Course @ Boulder County Fairgrounds Natural Resources Building

Most participants come to the Beekeeping Class with an interest bees, their place in our world, and to learn just what is involved in beekeeping. Some are completely new to the hobby while others have been or are current beekeepers wishing to refine and update their knowledge.

The program’s mission is to develop knowledgeable beekeeping ambassadors to help educate and inform the larger community. The welfare of bees and beekeeping is of utmost importance, now more than ever, so the program aims to improve awareness of beekeeping issues in Boulder County, Colorado and beyond.
