Whether you just got your bees, and now realize how much there is to learn, or you have had bees a while and wondering how to do better, a beginning beekeeping class will help! We’ll cover everything from providing what the bees need to what they can provide for you, and all that happens in the middle of that such as; how to move bees, feeding, monitoring for mites, diagnosing disease, comb management, preparing for winter, reading a brood frame, how to open the hive correctly and understanding what you see and what needs to be done, bee vocabulary, biology, bee communication. This class is an accredited pre-requisite for the Master Beekeeper Program and a great way to become a better beekeeper. Class will be live and in-person. Pre-registration is required at [email protected] Our teacher is Tina Sebestyen, master beekeeper, frequent contributor to the American Bee Journal and Bee Culture magazines, advisor for the CSBA, and founder of the Four Corners Beekeepers Assoc., and Colorado Master Beekeeper program coordinator.
