High Land Beekeeping Club Meeting @ Roxborough Community Center
May 16 @ 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Luan Akin will be coming from Tagawa’s Garden Center with plants for us to see and discuss.  Bet we’ll find some good bee plants in her collection.

We are also asking everyone to bring their bee vacs, swarm collecting devices, and any other cool bee containers you might have.  We want to show our new people how the old people (Jerry) do the job.  We’ll also take pictures of the different vacs and make a power point presentation.  That’s right!  You could be a bee-club, slide-show STAR!!!

High Land Beekeeping Club Meeting @ Roxborough Community Center
Aug 15 @ 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

We meet from 6-8 p.m. at the Roxborough Community Center.http://gallery.mailchimp.com/faab5d795f2a24e9abc494c09/files/Directions_to_Rox._Comm._Cntr.pdf

This month we are having a honey bake off contest. We will award $100.00 to the best tasting honey recipe. Ribbons will be awarded for 2nd and 3rd place. Break out your most fabulous recipe that uses honey, bake up enough so the club can taste, and bring it to the meeting. You might go home with $100.00!…. or a ribbon.

BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE!!!

We are also having a products from the hive contest. If you have a product you make that uses pollen, propolis, royal jelly, beeswax, or bee venom, bring it – enough for the club to try , or see, (and you can sell some if you have enough), and we will decide who has the best product. The winner will receive $100.00. 2nd and 3rd place winners recieve recognition and ribbons (wah wahhhhh).

AND MORE!!!

In between  sampling baked items, and checking out and maybe buying some of the products from the hive, we will have a panel of beekeeping experts sitting at a table waiting to answer all your bee-related questions and dilemmas.  Free advice!  What more could you ask for – the best prize ever!!

It’ll be great fun. See you there!
