High Land Beekeeping Club Meeting @ Roxborough Community Center
Oct 17 @ 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

We meet from 6-8 p.m. at the Roxborough Community Center.http://gallery.mailchimp.com/faab5d795f2a24e9abc494c09/files/Directions_to_Rox._Comm._Cntr.pdf

This month we are having a honey bake off contest. We will award $100.00 to the best tasting honey recipe. Ribbons will be awarded for 2nd and 3rd place. Break out your most fabulous recipe that uses honey, bake up enough so the club can taste, and bring it to the meeting. You might go home with $100.00!…. or a ribbon.

BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE!!!

We are also having a products from the hive contest. If you have a product you make that uses pollen, propolis, royal jelly, beeswax, or bee venom, bring it – enough for the club to try , or see, (and you can sell some if you have enough), and we will decide who has the best product. The winner will receive $100.00. 2nd and 3rd place winners recieve recognition and ribbons (wah wahhhhh).

AND MORE!!!

In between  sampling baked items, and checking out and maybe buying some of the products from the hive, we will have a panel of beekeeping experts sitting at a table waiting to answer all your bee-related questions and dilemmas.  Free advice!  What more could you ask for – the best prize ever!!

It’ll be great fun. See you there!

4 Corners Beekeeping Club Monthly Meeting @ Florida Baptist Church near Elmore's store.
Oct 17 @ 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
There is so much to talk about, honey extracting, leaving honey for winter, preparing the hive for winter (done in September), and of course whatever is on your
minds. I'd really like to hear from you all about what is going on in
your hives, what you have learned, all that!

Congrats to Del and Jodi for talking home both the Grand Champion
and Champion in the honey competition at the fair! Thanks to all who
entered!

Don't forget to clip the grass around your electric fence, the
rain is really making it grow, and good electric fencing is really the
only way to be sure to protect your hive. As long as you are out
there, you might as well check the water in your battery, too!
