Our new member, Valerie West is going to share how she learned to make a nuc for the purpose of growing new queens for yourself. This is a skill we all need, and there is more to it than just putting a couple of frames in a box. As we are just learning, queen age is a major factor in bees swarming, and if we can learn to grow new, good quality queens for ourselves, we can greatly reduce the swarming impulse in our bees.
