Cortez Bee Club Meeting @ Let It Grow Nursery, Cortez
Apr 22 @ 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm

For those of you who missed our first meeting we had a great turn-out, Tina showed up from our recent bee school and really
helped out. We established our next two meeting site and times:

Tuesday April 22nd at 6:30 pm at the Cortez Journal Public Meeting Room

Tuesday May 20th at 6:30 pm at the Cortez Journal Public Meeting Room

I spoke with Jude of Let-it-Grow, and starting in June he would be open later in the evening and would like us to have our meetings
back at the Let-it-Grow nursery. I think that sounded like a great idea, probably better ambience. So we can talk about that some more.

Okay, hope everyone is enjoying the early spring…maybe the wind will slow down a bit, hopefully.

Alright, see all of you soon!

4 Corners Beekeeping Club Monthly Meeting @ Florida Baptist Church near Elmore's store.
May 15 @ 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
There is so much to talk about, honey extracting, leaving honey for winter, preparing the hive for winter (done in September), and of course whatever is on your
minds. I'd really like to hear from you all about what is going on in
your hives, what you have learned, all that!

Congrats to Del and Jodi for talking home both the Grand Champion
and Champion in the honey competition at the fair! Thanks to all who
entered!

Don't forget to clip the grass around your electric fence, the
rain is really making it grow, and good electric fencing is really the
only way to be sure to protect your hive. As long as you are out
there, you might as well check the water in your battery, too!
