“Dynamics o f Successful Split Making: Creating Queen Cells Using An Adaptive Cloake B oard Method.”

Current morbidity rates for beekeepers are 20%-50%.  Creating splits is a necessary tool for beekeepers\, no mat ter which hiving system employed.   This interactive lecture will explore the axioms necessary to generate healthy and viable splits. We will discus s how the use of a Cloake board can be a useful tool in generating multipl e queen cells for use in splits.  And while this lecture will focus on the use of Langstroth Hive systems\, the precepts taught are adaptive to any hiving technology.  This class is designed for minimally active 2 year and more experienced beekeepers.
